Commission: Happy B-day Karasu

First of all I have to apologize for the lateness I tend to underestimate how much moving/travelling takes out of me... so this is much later than I originally predicted. As a result I really went all out and I am incredibly proud of the outcome. Let me explain...

I have always been in love with Sailor Moon and it started with the anime but what's kept me coming back for years and years (holy moly 13 years now!) is the beautiful and gracefull orignal manga artwork of Naoko Takeuchi who has been the main influence for most of my art - in the beginning I referenced her work pretty heavily (as any of you can see from my early works on my SASH website) and later on built my own style around. *
Then this commission came a long and I knew I wanted to dedicate myself to the original style of Naoko, so I focused and slowly this image appeared and in my humble opinion this is the closest I've ever come to emmulating Naoko's style (without referencing) and I'm so very happy with it. As a result I also went all out for the background (more than I usually do for simple PS bgs) in a tribute to the lacey/airbrushed backgrounds you can find in the artbooks.
